Machine Shop Incharge / Supervisor

Role Summary: The Machine Shop Incharge / Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the leather processing and finishing machine shop. This role requires a hands-on approach to manage production, ensure quality standards, maintain machinery, and lead a team of skilled operators to achieve production targets efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the machine shop, including leather cutting, skiving, stitching, and finishing machines.

Ensure adherence to production schedules and targets, optimizing workflow and resource allocation.

Monitor and maintain the quality of leather products processed in the machine shop, implementing quality control checks at various stages.

Oversee the maintenance and repair of all machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. Schedule preventive maintenance.

Train and guide machine operators, fostering a skilled and productive workforce.

Ensure a safe working environment, implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.

Manage inventory of materials and spare parts related to the machine shop operations.

Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate with production planning and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
