Machine Shop Incharge / Supervisor

Role Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and innovative Machine Shop Incharge / Supervisor with a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree to oversee our machine shop operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components for our advanced security and surveillance systems. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the machine shop, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and production timelines. This is an excellent opportunity for a B.Des graduate with 1-6 years of experience to contribute to a dynamic startup in the defense and law enforcement sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and translate B.Des specifications into actionable machine shop plans and production schedules.

Supervise and guide a team of machinists and technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and quality output.

Operate and maintain various machine tools (e.g., CNC, manual lathes, milling machines) to produce precision components.

Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure all manufactured parts meet design tolerances and standards.

Manage inventory of raw materials, tooling, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels.

Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.

Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to provide feedback on manufacturability and suggest design improvements.

Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations and promoting best practices.

Maintain accurate production records, including output, material usage, and machine downtime.
