Manager - Data Science

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Science Manager to lead our data science initiatives within the Government/Public Administration sector. The ideal candidate will leverage their analytical expertise and leadership skills to drive data-driven decision-making and develop innovative solutions for public service delivery. This role requires a strong foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization, coupled with the ability to manage projects and mentor a team of data scientists.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of data science projects from conception to deployment, focusing on areas such as fraud detection, citizen behavior analysis, resource optimization, and policy impact assessment.
- Design, build, and maintain robust machine learning models and statistical algorithms to address complex challenges in public administration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across government departments to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable data science solutions.
- Mentor and guide a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and high-quality output.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all data science initiatives.
- Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management and government officials.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and evaluate their applicability to public administration challenges.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
