Manager - Data Science

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager for our Data Science team. This role will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization, leading a team of data scientists, and developing innovative solutions to enhance our e-learning products and user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the EdTech landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
2. Develop and implement data science strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on areas such as user engagement, learner success, and product personalization.
3. Oversee the end-to-end data science project lifecycle, from problem definition and data exploration to model development, deployment, and monitoring.
4. Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of new features or strategies.
5. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation.
6. Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences through clear visualizations and presentations.
7. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and evaluate their applicability to upGrad's business.
