Manager - Machine Learning

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Machine Learning Manager to lead our AI/ML initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and deploying cutting-edge machine learning models to enhance customer experience, optimize operations, and drive business growth within the e-commerce furniture and furnishing sector. You will manage a team of data scientists and ML engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models for areas such as recommendation systems, demand forecasting, personalized marketing, fraud detection, and supply chain optimization.
- Manage and mentor a team of data scientists and ML engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging ML to solve business problems.
- Define and own the ML roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end ML lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and production deployment.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence, and evaluate their potential application to Pepperfry's business.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of ML systems in a production environment.
- Develop and implement best practices for ML development, MLOps, and data governance.
