Managing Editor

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Editor to lead our content strategy and production for our Indian operations within the agrochemicals sector. The Managing Editor will be responsible for overseeing the creation, editing, and publication of high-quality content across various platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with our brand voice and strategic objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of the agricultural industry in India and the ability to translate complex technical information into engaging and accessible content for diverse audiences, including farmers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with UPL India's business goals and marketing initiatives.
* Manage the editorial calendar, ensuring timely delivery of all content projects.
* Oversee the writing, editing, and proofreading of a wide range of content, including technical articles, marketing collateral, website copy, press releases, social media posts, and internal communications.
* Ensure all content is accurate, factually correct, and adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, product management, and legal, to gather information and ensure content accuracy.
* Train and mentor junior editorial staff and freelance writers.
* Maintain and evolve the company's style guide and brand voice for all written materials.
* Monitor content performance and use analytics to inform future content strategy.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging communication technologies.
