Manufacturing Operations Manager

Role Summary:
ICON plc is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations within our growing clinical research division. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and high-quality production of materials for clinical trials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing and a proven ability to manage teams, processes, and resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
  Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  Manage and mentor a team of manufacturing personnel, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  Monitor and control production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and R&D, to ensure seamless operations.
  Manage inventory of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and validation activities.
  Drive process optimization initiatives and implement lean manufacturing principles.
  Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and promote adherence to safety protocols.
