Marine Engineer

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing risks associated with marine assets and operations for our insurance clients. This role requires a strong understanding of maritime engineering principles, safety regulations, and the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-insurance surveys and inspections of vessels, ports, and marine infrastructure to identify potential risks.
• Evaluate the structural integrity, machinery, and safety equipment of marine assets.
• Analyze operational procedures and compliance with maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL).
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to underwriters and clients on risk mitigation strategies.
• Investigate marine incidents and accidents to determine causes and assess liabilities.
• Develop and refine technical guidelines and underwriting standards for marine insurance.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the maritime and insurance sectors.
