Marine / Maritime Pilot

Role Summary: The Marine / Maritime Pilot will be responsible for safely navigating vessels in and out of port waters, ensuring efficient and secure movement of cargo, including automotive components and finished vehicles, to and from manufacturing facilities and distribution centers. This role requires extensive knowledge of maritime regulations, vessel handling, and local port conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pilot vessels safely and efficiently within designated port limits, considering tidal conditions, weather, and vessel traffic.
• Provide expert guidance to ship masters on navigation, maneuvering, and berthing operations.
• Coordinate with port authorities, tugboats, and other maritime services to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor and report on vessel movements, cargo status, and any potential safety or environmental hazards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of maritime laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for all piloting operations.
• Assist in the planning and execution of specialized cargo movements, including large automotive components and finished vehicles.
