Marine / Maritime Pilot

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Marine/Maritime Pilot to join our team. The pilot will be responsible for safely maneuvering vessels into and out of port, through channels, and in congested or hazardous waters. This role requires an in-depth understanding of navigation, vessel dynamics, and local maritime regulations. While our primary business is infrastructure, this role is crucial for our port operations and related logistics, ensuring efficient and safe movement of maritime traffic.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely pilot vessels to and from berths, through channels, and in pilotage waters.

Assess and manage risks associated with vessel movements, considering weather, tides, traffic, and vessel characteristics.

Communicate effectively with vessel masters, port control, tugs, and other relevant parties.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local navigation rules, port regulations, and maritime best practices.

Provide expert advice to vessel masters on navigation and maneuvering.

Respond to emergencies and assist in incident management.

Conduct pre-pilotage assessments and briefings.

Maintain accurate pilotage records and reports.
