Marine Superintendent

Role Summary:
Trivitron Healthcare is seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of marine operations related to the transportation and logistics of medical devices and equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of sensitive medical products via sea freight, from manufacturing facilities to distribution points or international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement comprehensive marine logistics strategies for the company's medical devices and equipment.
* Manage relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other maritime service providers.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant international and national maritime regulations, including safety, security, and environmental standards.
* Oversee the chartering of vessels or booking of cargo space, negotiating terms and contracts.
* Monitor vessel performance, cargo handling, and delivery schedules to ensure timely and secure transportation.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for marine transportation of sensitive medical equipment.
* Manage insurance claims related to marine cargo and vessel operations.
* Develop and maintain operational budgets for marine logistics.
* Provide technical expertise on vessel suitability and cargo-specific requirements for medical devices.
* Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., supply chain, quality assurance, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration of marine operations.
* Investigate any incidents or accidents occurring during marine transit and report findings.
* Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in maritime logistics.
