Marine Superintendent

Role Summary: The Marine Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all marine operations related to the company's chemical logistics and transportation. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of chemicals via sea, managing vessel operations, cargo handling, and adherence to international maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise all marine-related activities for chemical transportation, including chartering, vessel performance, and cargo operations.

Ensure compliance with all relevant international and national maritime laws, regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL), and company policies.

Oversee the loading, stowage, and discharge of chemical cargoes, ensuring safety and integrity of the product.

Conduct regular inspections of vessels and equipment to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for marine operations.

Manage relationships with shipping companies, port authorities, surveyors, and other relevant stakeholders.

Investigate any marine incidents or accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.

Monitor vessel performance, fuel efficiency, and operational costs.

Provide technical expertise and guidance on marine-related matters to internal teams.
