Maritime Pilot

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maritime Pilot to join our dynamic team. The Maritime Pilot will be responsible for the safe and efficient navigation of vessels within our operational waters, ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations and company policies. This role requires a deep understanding of port operations, vessel traffic management, and emergency response procedures. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional judgment, leadership qualities, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely pilot vessels into and out of port, through channels, and along designated routes.
* Provide expert advice to ship masters on navigation, maneuvering, and berthing.
* Monitor and manage vessel traffic within the port and surrounding areas.
* Conduct pre-arrival and departure checks of vessels, including pilot ladders and embarkation points.
* Maintain constant communication with vessel crews, port authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
* Respond effectively to emergencies, such as collisions, groundings, or pollution incidents.
* Ensure adherence to all national and international maritime laws, regulations, and safety standards.
* Prepare detailed pilotage reports and maintain accurate logs.
* Continuously update knowledge of navigational aids, weather patterns, and local conditions.
* Train and mentor junior pilots and deck officers.
