Materials Manager

Role Summary: The Materials Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of material procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations within BYJU'S. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and cost-effective availability of educational materials, equipment, and supplies to support our growing operations across India and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective strategies for procurement of educational materials, stationery, IT hardware, and other operational supplies.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stockouts.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and quality standards.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials.
• Implement and manage an efficient inventory management system, including regular audits and cycle counts.
• Monitor market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Academics, Operations, Finance) to forecast material needs and ensure alignment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Analyze data to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
