Materials Manager at Syngene International Limited

We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of materials management within our Vadodara facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement, storage, and distribution of raw materials, consumables, and equipment essential for our clinical research operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree and 3-4 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or contract research industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement plans for all materials, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock holding, minimize waste, and prevent stock-outs, utilizing appropriate inventory management techniques.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials, ensuring proper storage conditions and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Operations, to forecast material needs and ensure supply chain alignment.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for materials management, identifying areas for improvement and driving efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Manage and mentor a team of materials handling staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
