Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our dynamic team at Tata Steel. The Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various mechanical equipment and machinery within our mining and processing facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery, conveyor systems, crushers, and other mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, including identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repair and maintenance activities.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including welding equipment, diagnostic tools, and hand tools.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and operational teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and maintenance techniques.
