Role Summary:
Goonj is seeking a diligent and skilled Mechanic with 1-3 years of experience to join our team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of various equipment and vehicles essential for our field operations. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to supporting our mission of sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of mechanical equipment, including vehicles, generators, and hand tools.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for operational activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with organizational standards.
- Assist in the procurement of spare parts and materials as needed.
- Collaborate with field teams to understand their equipment needs and provide timely support.
- Stay updated on best practices and new technologies in mechanical maintenance.
