Role Summary: Sequoia Capital India is seeking a highly qualified Medical Advisor with expertise in Allergology and Immunology to join our investment team. This role will focus on evaluating investment opportunities within the healthcare and life sciences sectors, providing critical medical and scientific due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between clinical practice and investment strategy, identifying innovative healthcare solutions with significant market potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth medical and scientific due diligence on potential investment targets in the healthcare and life sciences industries, with a particular focus on allergy and immunology-related companies and technologies.
- Analyze clinical trial data, research findings, and regulatory pathways relevant to diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive solutions in allergy and immunology.
- Assess the clinical validity, efficacy, and safety profiles of new medical technologies and treatments.
- Provide expert opinions on market trends, competitive landscapes, and unmet medical needs within the allergy and immunology domain.
- Collaborate with investment partners to identify and evaluate emerging scientific breakthroughs and disruptive healthcare innovations.
- Support portfolio companies by offering strategic advice on clinical development, market access, and scientific communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, researchers, and medical professionals in the allergy and immunology fields.
- Contribute to internal investment committee meetings and present findings and recommendations.
