Medical Biller / Coder

Role Summary: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Medical Biller / Coder to join our healthcare services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing medical claims, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, and optimizing reimbursement for services rendered at HAL's medical facilities. This role is vital in maintaining the financial health of our healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing patient medical records and identifying diagnoses and procedures for accurate coding.

Assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to medical diagnoses and procedures.

Preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies and government payers.

Following up on denied or rejected claims and initiating appeals when necessary.

Verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient billing and coding records.

Staying current with coding guidelines, regulations, and payer policies.

Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation.

Assisting with audits and compliance reviews.
