Medical Biller / Coder

Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller/Coder to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately translating medical diagnoses and procedures into standardized codes for billing and insurance purposes. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and correct reimbursement for services rendered by our healthcare facilities and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review patient medical records and physician documentation to identify services rendered.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines, regulations, and payer policies.
• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies.
• Follow up on denied or rejected claims and initiate appeals when necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices, healthcare regulations, and industry changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation.
• Perform audits of medical records to ensure coding accuracy and completeness.
