Medical Officer (General Surgery)

Role Summary:
ONGC is seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Officer with a specialization in General Surgery to provide comprehensive medical care to its employees and their dependents at its medical facilities in India. While the primary role is in general surgery, candidates with a strong background or interest in breast-related conditions will be highly regarded, reflecting the diverse healthcare needs of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of surgical conditions, including those affecting the breast.
- Perform surgical procedures, both elective and emergency, with a focus on patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to surgical patients.
- Interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging (mammography, ultrasound) and pathology reports related to breast conditions.
- Manage and consult on benign and malignant breast diseases.
- Conduct regular health check-ups and screening programs for employees.
- Provide general medical consultations and primary care services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals and specialists within the ONGC healthcare network.
- Participate in health education and awareness programs for employees.
- Adhere to all relevant medical ethics, professional standards, and hospital policies.
