Merchandise / Retail Planner

Role Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Merchandise/Retail Planner with an M.Pharma background to join our dynamic team in Ludhiana. This role is crucial for optimizing the availability and profitability of our gaming merchandise and retail products across various channels in India. You will leverage your scientific understanding and planning expertise to forecast demand, manage inventory, and ensure product placement aligns with market trends and consumer behavior, particularly within the context of our tech-forward gaming ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to develop accurate demand forecasts for gaming merchandise and retail products.
- Collaborate with the merchandising and marketing teams to create seasonal and promotional plans, ensuring product assortment meets customer needs and company objectives.
- Manage inventory levels across distribution centers and retail locations, optimizing stock to minimize shortages and overstock situations.
- Develop and implement effective inventory replenishment strategies, considering lead times, sales velocity, and promotional calendars.
- Utilize analytical tools and software to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell-through rates, inventory turnover, and GMROI.
- Identify opportunities for product placement and visual merchandising to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
- Work closely with supply chain and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for management on inventory status, sales performance, and planning recommendations.
- Apply a scientific approach to problem-solving, using data-driven insights to address challenges in merchandise planning and retail execution.
- Leverage M.Pharma knowledge to understand product lifecycle, regulatory considerations (where applicable to merchandise), and quality control aspects relevant to product presentation.
