Merchandising Head

We are seeking a dynamic and legally-minded Merchandising Head to join our team in Chandigarh. This role is crucial in ensuring our product offerings align with market trends, legal compliance, and brand strategy within the architecture and interior design space. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire merchandising lifecycle, from product selection and pricing to inventory management and visual presentation, all while leveraging your legal acumen to navigate contracts and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute merchandising strategies that align with the company's brand identity and business objectives.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new product opportunities and optimize existing offerings.
* Oversee the selection, sourcing, and procurement of materials and products for interior design projects, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
* Manage inventory levels, forecast demand, and implement efficient stock control measures.
* Collaborate with design, sales, and marketing teams to create compelling product presentations and promotional campaigns.
* Review and negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with legal regulations.
* Ensure all merchandising activities adhere to relevant Indian laws, building codes, and industry standards.
* Develop and manage the merchandising budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
* Lead and mentor a merchandising team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
* Utilize your LLB background to advise on product liability, intellectual property rights, and contractual obligations related to merchandising and procurement.
