Merchant Acquisition - BD / Pre Sales (B.A Required) - Guwahati

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Business Development professional to join our Merchant Acquisition team in Guwahati. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and onboarding new merchants to expand our payment acceptance network. This role requires a strong understanding of sales processes, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to business development. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by increasing our merchant base and ensuring seamless integration of our payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect potential merchants within the assigned territory, focusing on businesses that can benefit from our payment solutions.
- Develop and nurture relationships with prospective merchants, understanding their business needs and challenges.
- Present and demonstrate HDFC Bank's merchant services and payment solutions effectively to potential clients.
- Negotiate terms and close deals with new merchants, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth and efficient merchant activation process.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for merchant acquisition and activation.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices in merchant acquiring.
- Provide market feedback to the management to help refine sales strategies and product offerings.
