Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metallurgist to join our innovative team in the Printing & Publishing industry. The Metallurgist will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of metallic components used in our printing machinery and processes. This role requires a deep understanding of material science, metal properties, and their application in high-volume manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the selection and testing of metallic materials for printing press components, inks, and coatings.
- Conduct failure analysis on metallic parts to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for metallic materials and processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize the use of materials and improve manufacturing processes.
- Research and evaluate new metallic alloys and surface treatments for enhanced performance and durability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
