Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metallurgist to join our technical division. The Metallurgist will be responsible for the material science aspects of equipment and infrastructure used in law enforcement and security operations. This role involves ensuring the integrity, performance, and durability of various metallic components and materials through rigorous testing, analysis, and quality control. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metallurgy, material properties, and their application in demanding operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct metallurgical analysis and testing of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet stringent quality and performance standards.
- Investigate material failures, defects, and performance issues in equipment and infrastructure, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and implement material specifications and testing protocols for new equipment and technologies.
- Advise on the selection of appropriate metallic materials for various applications, considering factors such as strength, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and cost.
- Oversee and manage material procurement processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff on design, manufacturing, and maintenance processes related to metallic components.
- Maintain detailed records of material testing, analysis, and performance data.
- Stay updated with advancements in metallurgical science and technology relevant to security applications.
- Ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards and regulations.
About CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force)
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the largest central armed police organization in India. It functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India. The CRPF's primary role is to provide armed support to the Indian Police for maintaining law and order, counter-insurgency, and counter-terrorism operations. It was established in 1939 as the Crown Representative's Police and became the Central Reserve Police Force on 28th December 1949. The force has grown significantly over the decades, playing a crucial role in internal security management across the nation.
