Metallurgist

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metallurgist to join our esteemed organization. The Metallurgist will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing metallurgical processes within our gems and jewellery manufacturing operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of metal properties, alloys, and their application in jewellery production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development on new alloys and metal treatments for jewellery applications.
- Analyze and test raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for all metallurgical processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to metal casting, fabrication, finishing, and plating.
- Monitor and manage the use of chemicals and materials in metallurgical processes, ensuring environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to translate aesthetic requirements into manufacturable designs.
- Maintain detailed records of experiments, analyses, and process parameters.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in metallurgy and jewellery manufacturing technologies.
