Microbiologist (B.Com Required) - Thiruvananthapuram

Role Summary: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Microbiologist with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree to join our team in Thiruvananthapuram. The ideal candidate will possess 3-4 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for managing various aspects of microbial testing and quality control, with a strong emphasis on financial documentation and inventory management related to laboratory supplies. This role requires a unique blend of scientific understanding and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Maintain accurate and organized laboratory records, including test results, calibration logs, and equipment maintenance.

Manage laboratory inventory of consumables, reagents, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and tracking usage.

Assist in the procurement process for laboratory supplies, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase requests, and verifying invoices.

Prepare financial reports related to laboratory expenses, budget tracking, and cost analysis of testing procedures.

Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, validated, and maintained according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
