Motorman

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Motorman to join our dynamic events team at BookMyShow. The Motorman will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of various motorized equipment and vehicles used in the setup, execution, and dismantling of live events and entertainment productions. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, often demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a variety of motorized equipment including generators, forklifts, small utility vehicles, and stage machinery as required for event production.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issues on equipment, escalating complex problems to senior technicians or supervisors.
- Ensure all equipment is operated in compliance with company safety policies, local regulations, and venue-specific rules.
- Safely transport equipment and personnel to and from event sites, loading docks, and storage areas.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of event infrastructure, including stages, lighting rigs, and sound systems, using motorized equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance performed, and fuel consumption.
- Coordinate with event managers, technical directors, and other crew members to ensure timely and efficient execution of event logistics.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate assistance as needed.
