Naval Architect

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Naval Architect to join our growing team. The Naval Architect will be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of marine vessels and structures, with a focus on their application within the metals and mining industry's logistical operations. This role requires a deep understanding of naval architecture principles, material science, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of raw materials and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and design marine vessels (e.g., bulk carriers, barges) for transporting raw materials like iron ore, coal, and finished steel products.
* Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of marine structures under various load conditions.
* Oversee the construction and repair of vessels, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
* Perform stability calculations and ballast planning for different operational scenarios.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations, classification society rules, and environmental standards.
* Collaborate with engineering teams, port authorities, and operational staff to optimize vessel performance and logistics.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to vessel design, operation, and maintenance.
* Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports.
* Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in naval architecture and marine engineering.
