Neonatologist

Role Summary:
Larsen & Toubro is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatologist to oversee the health and well-being of newborns within our employee healthcare facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of neonatal care for the families of our dedicated workforce. The Neonatologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of conditions affecting newborns, from routine care to critical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive medical care to newborns, including premature infants and those with congenital anomalies or birth-related complications.
* Conduct thorough physical examinations and developmental assessments of newborns.
* Diagnose and manage common and complex neonatal conditions, such as respiratory distress syndrome, infections, jaundice, and metabolic disorders.
* Interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work, imaging studies (X-rays, ultrasounds), and genetic tests.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for neonates, including medication management and therapeutic interventions.
* Manage critically ill neonates requiring intensive care, including mechanical ventilation and other life support measures.
* Perform resuscitation and stabilization of newborns in emergency situations.
* Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
* Educate and counsel parents on newborn care, feeding, developmental milestones, and potential health concerns.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in neonatology through continuous medical education and research.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of neonatal care protocols.
