Role Summary:
Latham & Watkins is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of our global network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies to protect our firm's sensitive data and systems from evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network security solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and web application firewalls (WAFs).
- Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network configurations and deployments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other IT staff on network security matters.
- Manage security-related vendor relationships and evaluate new security products and services.
