Role Summary: Aravind Eye Care System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neurologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The Neurologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating neurological disorders that may impact or be impacted by eye conditions, contributing to comprehensive patient care within our specialized eye care setting. This role involves close collaboration with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions, with a focus on those related to or affecting ocular health.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including neurological examinations, medical history review, and interpretation of diagnostic tests (e.g., MRI, CT scans, EEG, EMG).
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists to investigate and manage conditions such as optic neuritis, visual pathway disorders, and neurological causes of vision loss.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
• Provide patient and family education regarding neurological conditions and treatment options.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in neurology and neuro-ophthalmology.
• Participate in clinical research and contribute to the academic activities of the institution.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
