Role Summary: The Nurse Unit Manager will oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit within our corporate healthcare facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and administrative skills to manage staff, resources, and patient flow effectively. The Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall strategic goals of the healthcare department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of nursing staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Ensure the provision of comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit, including patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, hospital policies, and safety protocols.
- Manage unit resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Promote a collaborative and supportive work environment for the nursing team.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of nursing standards and practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
