Job Description
Role Summary: Khaitan & Co is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Specialist to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees across its Indian offices. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring OHS policies and procedures in compliance with relevant Indian regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive OHS programs and policies tailored to the legal industry environment.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian OHS legislation, including the Factories Act, 1948, and relevant state-specific rules.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement preventive measures.
- Organize and deliver OHS training and awareness programs for employees at all levels.
- Maintain OHS records, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with HR and administration departments to promote a strong safety culture.
- Stay updated on the latest OHS trends, regulations, and best practices relevant to professional services firms.
