Opening for Chief Officer / Mate | 1-3 Yrs

Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chief Officer / Mate with 1-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Bhubaneshwar. The ideal candidate will support the Master in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of vessel management, navigation, and cargo operations, with a foundation in computer applications relevant to maritime logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Master in all aspects of vessel operations, including navigation, watchkeeping, and cargo handling.
• Maintain vessel logs, charts, and operational records accurately.
• Ensure compliance with international and local maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code).
• Participate in cargo planning, stowage, and securing operations.
• Conduct regular safety drills and ensure crew are trained in emergency procedures.
• Utilize MCA knowledge to manage and analyze vessel data, optimize routes, and improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Liaise with port authorities, pilots, and other stakeholders as directed by the Master.
