Role Summary: We are seeking a diligent and legally-minded EHS Officer with 3-5 years of experience to join our corporate team in Thiruvananthapuram. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations within our import and export operations, leveraging their legal background to interpret and implement complex regulatory frameworks. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management and a commitment to fostering a safe and sustainable working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in compliance with Indian and international regulations relevant to import/export operations.

Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments at operational sites, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.

Interpret and ensure adherence to environmental laws, occupational safety standards, and hazardous materials regulations.

Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and implement preventive measures.

Manage and maintain EHS documentation, including permits, licenses, and compliance records.

Provide EHS training and awareness programs to employees at all levels.

Liaise with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other stakeholders on EHS matters.

Stay updated on changes in EHS legislation and best practices, particularly those affecting the import/export sector.
