Opening for Head - Taxation | MNC

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head - Taxation to join our esteemed Management Consulting team in Guwahati. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a strong understanding of Indian tax laws and regulations, looking to lead taxation strategies within a dynamic MNC environment. The ideal candidate will have a foundational experience of 3-4 years in taxation, with a solid legal background.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage all direct and indirect tax compliance for the Indian operations.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.
- Provide expert advice on tax implications of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate restructuring.
- Interpret complex tax legislation and provide guidance to internal teams.
- Liaise with tax authorities and represent the company in tax assessments and audits.
- Stay abreast of changes in Indian tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business.
- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and related documentation.
