Operations Manager - Upstream

The Operations Manager - Upstream will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the initial stages of the insurance operations lifecycle, focusing on policy issuance, underwriting support, and new business acquisition processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of operational workflows and a commitment to driving efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of upstream operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and streamline the new business acquisition and policy issuance processes to ensure timely and accurate policy onboarding.
• Oversee the initial stages of underwriting support, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and enhance the customer experience in upstream processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for upstream operations and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, underwriting, sales, and customer service teams to resolve operational issues and implement process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations and internal policies.
• Train and mentor operational staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
• Identify and implement best practices in upstream insurance operations.
