Job Description

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmological Surgeon to join our team. While this role is within a BPO/Call Centre environment, it requires specialized medical expertise to provide remote consultations, support clinical decision-making, and contribute to the development of AI-powered diagnostic tools for ophthalmology. This is a unique opportunity to apply your surgical knowledge in a technologically driven setting, focusing on improving patient care through innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide remote expert consultations to primary care physicians and ophthalmology trainees regarding complex cases.
  2. Review and interpret diagnostic ophthalmological images (e.g., OCT, fundus photos, visual fields) for remote assessment.
  3. Contribute to the development and validation of AI algorithms for automated detection of common ophthalmic conditions.
  4. Assist in creating and refining clinical guidelines and protocols for tele-ophthalmology services.
  5. Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to ensure the clinical accuracy and utility of developed tools.
  6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and data privacy laws.
  7. Participate in training sessions for non-medical staff on ophthalmology basics and the use of new diagnostic tools.
