Optometrist

Role Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting eye examinations, diagnosing and treating vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses. This role requires a strong understanding of ocular health and a commitment to providing excellent patient care within the context of our media organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction, and binocular vision assessments.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, dry eye, glaucoma, and cataracts.
- Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring optimal vision and comfort for patients.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices, contact lens hygiene, and the use of corrective lenses.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as visual field tests, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and fundus photography.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for referrals and co-management of complex cases.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and ophthalmic technology.
- Conduct vision screenings for employees as part of employee wellness programs.
- Advise on ergonomic practices and visual comfort for employees working with screens.
