Job Description
Role Summary: The Ordinary Seaman (OS) will be responsible for assisting the deck crew in various maritime operations, ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the vessel, and performing general duties as assigned. This role is crucial for the smooth functioning of logistical operations within the FMCG supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cargo loading and unloading operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of decks, equipment, and accommodation areas.
- Participate in lookout duties and general watchkeeping.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and emergency procedures.
- Assist in mooring and unmooring operations.
- Handle and store ship's supplies and equipment.
- Report any defects or issues to the senior officers.
