Ordinary Seaman (OS) - Full-Time Role (1-2 Yrs Experience)

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Ordinary Seaman (OS) with 1-2 years of experience and an M.Tech degree to join our dynamic team in Vishakhapatnam. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of vessels, contributing to cargo operations, and ensuring adherence to all maritime regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of maritime engineering principles and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, leveraging the advanced knowledge gained from an M.Tech education.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the general upkeep, maintenance, and cleanliness of the vessel, including deck, engine room, and living quarters.

Participate in cargo operations, including loading, unloading, and securing of cargo, ensuring safety and compliance.

Perform routine checks on shipboard equipment and systems, reporting any malfunctions or potential issues.

Support watchkeeping duties and assist in navigation under the supervision of senior officers.

Apply knowledge from M.Tech studies to troubleshoot minor technical issues and suggest improvements in operational efficiency.

Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and international maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.).

Participate in emergency drills and respond effectively to emergency situations.

Maintain accurate logs and records as required.
