Job Description

Role Summary: The Pain Specialist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating employees experiencing pain related to their work environment within the semiconductor manufacturing facility. This role requires a deep understanding of occupational health hazards specific to the electronics and semiconductor industry and the ability to develop and implement effective pain management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of employees reporting pain, considering physical, psychological, and environmental factors.
- Diagnose the cause of pain, differentiating between acute and chronic conditions, and identifying potential work-related injuries or illnesses.
- Develop individualized pain management plans, incorporating a multidisciplinary approach including medical, therapeutic, and ergonomic interventions.
- Provide direct patient care, including prescribing appropriate medications, recommending physical therapy, and educating patients on pain management techniques.
- Collaborate with occupational health nurses, industrial hygienists, and safety officers to identify and mitigate workplace hazards contributing to pain.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments of workstations and manufacturing processes to identify and recommend improvements to reduce physical strain.
- Educate employees on proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and the importance of reporting early symptoms of pain.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in pain management and occupational health within the semiconductor industry.
