Pain Specialist

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pain Specialist to join our occupational health team. The Pain Specialist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing work-related pain conditions among our employees in the Iron & Steel sector. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being and productivity of our workforce by providing specialized medical care and rehabilitation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of employees experiencing acute and chronic pain, with a focus on musculoskeletal and work-related injuries.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological interventions, physical therapy referrals, and non-pharmacological approaches.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of pain conditions, such as back pain, joint pain, nerve pain, and repetitive strain injuries.
- Collaborate with HR, safety officers, and line managers to identify workplace hazards contributing to pain and recommend ergonomic improvements.
- Provide education and counseling to employees on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications, and injury prevention.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pain management and occupational health.
- Facilitate return-to-work programs for employees with pain-related limitations.
