Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Pathologist to join our medical services team at ONGC. The Pathologist will be responsible for the accurate diagnosis and interpretation of medical conditions through the examination of tissues, cells, and body fluids. This role is crucial in supporting the health and well-being of our employees in remote and challenging operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct macroscopic and microscopic examination of surgical specimens, biopsies, and cytology samples.
- Perform autopsies to determine the cause of death when required.
- Interpret laboratory results, including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and immunology.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques and technologies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports.
- Consult with clinicians to provide diagnostic information and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety regulations and quality standards.
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new diagnostic protocols.
- Provide expert opinion on occupational health-related pathological findings.
