Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pattern Master to join our design and production team in India. The Pattern Master will be responsible for creating, developing, and refining patterns for our range of leather products, ensuring precision, fit, and quality that meets international standards. This role requires a deep understanding of leather properties, construction techniques, and the ability to translate design concepts into accurate production patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create precise patterns for all new leather product designs, including handbags, wallets, and accessories.
- Interpret 2D design sketches and 3D mock-ups to produce accurate 2D patterns.
- Ensure patterns account for material shrinkage, stretch, and thickness of various leather types.
- Create grading for patterns to ensure consistent sizing across different product dimensions.
- Collaborate closely with designers and sample makers to refine patterns based on prototypes and fit sessions.
- Maintain a comprehensive library of all patterns and grading specifications.
- Troubleshoot pattern-related issues during the sampling and production phases.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in pattern making and leather goods manufacturing.
