Petrophysicist

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Petrophysicist to join our team. The Petrophysicist will be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of well log data to understand subsurface geological formations and fluid properties, crucial for resource evaluation and exploration within our mining operations. This role requires a strong understanding of geological principles, rock mechanics, and data analysis techniques relevant to mineral exploration and extraction.

Key Responsibilities:

* Acquire, process, and interpret various types of well log data (e.g., resistivity, porosity, gamma ray, sonic logs).
* Integrate petrophysical data with geological, seismic, and core data to build comprehensive subsurface models.
* Evaluate reservoir/mineral potential, including estimating volumes of hydrocarbons or valuable minerals.
* Perform rock typing and identify key reservoir/mineral characteristics.
* Conduct quality control on log data and ensure data integrity.
* Develop and calibrate petrophysical models.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations on petrophysical findings and recommendations.
* Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and mining engineers to support exploration and production/extraction activities.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in petrophysics, logging technologies, and software.
