Job Description

Role Summary: The Pharmacy Analyst will be responsible for analyzing pharmaceutical data, trends, and costs within the financial services context. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, understanding of pharmaceutical operations, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for financial decision-making. The analyst will work closely with various departments to support strategic initiatives related to healthcare finance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze pharmaceutical claims data to identify cost drivers, utilization patterns, and potential areas for cost containment.
  2. Develop and maintain financial models related to pharmaceutical expenditure for various client portfolios.
  3. Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to assess financial risks associated with pharmaceutical benefits.
  4. Research and report on emerging trends in the pharmaceutical industry, including new drug approvals, pricing strategies, and regulatory changes.
  5. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management and clients, summarizing findings and recommendations.
  6. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analytical outputs.
  7. Support the development of new financial products and services related to healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
