Phlebotomist

Role Summary:
Verve Coffee Roasters is seeking a meticulous and reliable Phlebotomist to join our team. While our primary focus is coffee, we are expanding into health and wellness-focused product development. This role will involve collecting biological samples for research and development purposes, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with all protocols. The Phlebotomist will play a crucial part in our R&D efforts to innovate new beverage offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection from donors/participants according to established procedures.
• Properly label all collected samples and ensure chain of custody.
• Maintain a clean and sterile work environment, adhering to all safety and infection control standards.
• Accurately record patient/donor information and sample details in the laboratory information system.
• Communicate effectively with participants, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
• Prepare samples for transport to the laboratory or for further in-house analysis.
• Participate in R&D activities as required, contributing to the development of new beverage products.
